Friday, August 19, 2005...8:00 pm...

David Via’s driving, soulful songs are real: they tell stories of love gone wrong, living off the land, of good luck and hard times. Born and raised in Patrick County, Virginia, Via (pronounced Vi, rhymes with sky ) won top honors at Merlefest’s Chris Austin Songwriting Contest in 2001 and 1997. Via’s powerful and emotional delivery of his songs will move you.                       

Tickets: $12.50 Acoustic Stage Members  $15.00 Non-members

Saturday, September 24, 2005...8:00 pm...

Jim Lauderdale...is one of Nashville's most successful songwriters. He has written hits for George Strait, the Dixie Chicks, Patty Loveless, Mark Chesnutt and many others. His collaborations with Ralph Stanley, Donna The Buffalo and Grateful Dead Lyricist Robert Hunter showcase his diversity and broad range of appeal.

   Tickets: $16 Acoustic Stage Members   $18.50 Non-members

           The Firemen's Kitchen is  in the Hickory Community Theatre Building at 30 3rd St. NW in downtown Hickory

Seating is reserved in the Firemen's Kitchen
Arts and Science Center of Catawba Valley Auditorium is at 243 3rd Ave. NE
All seating is general Admission in the Auditorium.
